10/20/2009 - PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo., -- Three of Air Force Space Command's sharpest acquisition professionals were recently selected for the University of Tennessee Aerospace & Defense MBA (ADMBA) program.

The professionals selected are, Mr. John Norrington, (AFSPC A4/7) Installations and Logistics, Major Daniel Tadevich, National Reconnaissance Office, and Ms. Christal Murray, Space and Missile Systems Center, Satellite Control & Network Systems Group.

The ADMBA program is unique in that it is specifically designed to provide aerospace industry professionals with the tools to understand their industry as a business.

It allows participants to obtain an MBA in one year with minimal time away from work, while returning significant payback to the institution (students complete a project that will create at least a $1M savings).

As part of this program, students will attend five 9-day "residence" sessions with the University of Tennessee and one International trip; the remainder of their study will be done from their duty station or home location.

AFSPC has participated in this program for four years and has greatly benefited from the education and experience it has provided to selected professionals.

Major General Michael Basla, vice commander of AFSPC, congratulated the selectees on their accomplishment and wished them the success in the program in a letter to each participant.
